Meet the Owner

My Grandfather maintained a handyman service for many years serving the Hampton Roads area. Then, my father started a company in the 1960’s specializing in aluminum siding installation and home remodeling. Back then, there weren’t any of the large supply houses and home centers that we have today. So when my father sold a job, he would always order extra materials. He started stocking aluminum siding to install. As time progressed, other contractors started buying siding from my father.

During the winters when people weren’t thinking about outside projects like siding, he started selling and installing prefab fireplaces to keep his employees working during the winter. In the 1970’s he merged into a building supplier and installation company and started serving the building industry with siding, guttering, windows, doors, fireplaces, and precast stone. This also helped to keep his employees working all year, and local contractors could get their supplies faster and cheaper.

With other remodeling contractors, he formed the “Tidewater Home Improvement Businessmen Association” to help police the industry. He also worked with the Consumer Protection Agency and home owners to help resolve disputes with contractors. His work with these organizations led him to assist in establishing Virginia Contractor Recovery Fund, which provides relief to eligible consumers who have incurred losses through the improper or dishonest conduct of a licensed residential contractor.

I started in the home improvement industry working with my father installing fireplaces and stone. In 1980, I decided to start my own business with a focus on residential remodeling. My philosophy is simple: I treat every job as if your house is mine – if I wouldn’t do it to my own home, then I won’t do it to yours. I provide the highest quality products at a fair price.

Being a full-service remodeling contractor I maintain a stable of trustworthy tradespeople which I have the highest confidence in to help complete your project. There are no jobs too small or too large. My team can handle everything from kitchen and baths to complete home remodeling inside and out.
